You wear it, you wash it! Don’t forget to separate, inside out is always better. Machine wash cold and hang to dry. Leave no sock behind. T-shirts…love them, hate them, can’t live without them. Insert coin here and repeat! Easy enough…? I don’t think so.
To a tee…is just like any other article of clothing – from fabric and finishing, to silhouette and cut, what is your drink of choice?
What once was considered to be an undergarment: muscle tees to ribbed tanks, graphic and playing polo, nobody likes the feeling of an unwashed t-shirt.
In this era we like to call fast fashion…trendy today, forgotten tomorrow, we often overlook its care label. Quantity vs quality is there such a thing as something in between? From two sizes too small and two sizes too big, there is now a hole or two.
Why are my underarms turning yellow?…My top is see through and because there is no such thing as having to many white t-shirts, sometimes we must do laundry. Today on the blog…is a blank page.
Simple, clean, easy – dress it up, dress it down, wear it alone or layers, my wardrobe consists of 40 or so hangers. Narrowed it down to a minimum of 10 budget friendly, easy to wash and style plain white tees.
Since 1982 the question remains…Coke or Pepsi? Can or bottle? Like shown time and time again on countless commercials, billboard signs, names like Britney Spears, Enrique Iglesias, Beyonce, Matt Le Blanc, it has been a constant battle amongst friends, families and co workers. Wars have struck, business have suffered… all because and dare I ask, who will you share a coke with?
I must admit, its excellent marketing! A slim fitting short sleeve Pepsi tee, paired with your classic denim jeans, chilling with friends in your favourite 50’s diner having a coke! lol
I’m not (MOO)dy, you are! Brands like Revolve are perfect for that one of kind denim find and your soon to be favourite animal print bomber. Paired with an all white tank and short.
As seen in the pictures below, retro is in! Somewhere thrifted is a leopard print oversize jacket paired with a black denim jean and plain white tee (of course!) are both casual and comfy – yes you may tuck in your shirt, is just one trick I keep up my sleeve.
Throw away the jacket and accessorize with your fav white sneaks or ankle booties. Your morning routine just got 10 minutes shorter. Perfect for going into town – that is until day turns into dawn. My only hesitation about leggings is once I put them on, its hard to get them off.
Then to keep from maxing out your credit cards and a more simpler approach, I often turn to Gossip Girl and soon realize that didn’t work! So long as you have a plain white tee in your wardrobe “having nothing to wear” is no longer a valid excuse, it is and forever will be…your starting point.
I’m walking into the office now but first…coffee! I look around and see a garment rack, woman walking out with shopping bags and some headed to the changing rooms – others are thinking Everything’s A-OK! All I have is one thought: a great room, cathedral ceilings, tall double doors, bales of hey, a pitched roof and pitch fork. You look outside a boat and a weeping willow tree, the geese will soon follow. There, playing in the background is Frank Sinatra and all that jazz!
Writing this weeks editorial it’s not exactly the polo barn: a white picket fence alongside a riding field and a 1950’s Mercedes Benz – from pleated skirts, trousers, blazers, plaid and a classic white shirting…I absolutely love Ralph Lauren.
Jessica who is looking absolutely gorgeous is wearing a leopard print dress, belt and heels to match.
Makeup was kept simple, followed by a sleek bun and only certain products were used in the making of this shoot. Feat. Charlotte Tilbury’s peachy plum lip gloss and Mac’s Sugar Dada/ Frost lipsticks. Mixing these various colours together created the perfect shade of “orange.” Paired with Chanel’s sheer healthy glow & foundation is a Moonlight Kiss (highlighter) on the eyes.
I just wanted to say thank you to Stephane Brajkovich for being part of this project and capturing the best photos possible! – ranking my favourite look on the blog to date!
Are you currently looking for your next hair and makeup artist? Let’s get in touch right here!
Anyone who knows me knows, I’m loving leather: leather purses, leather shoes, leather jackets, leather pants!
Why am I here? How do I feel? Can I afford this? Do I need this?
This is what I like to call an impulse buy! The definition of buy now…eat later!
A leather jacket is like a glass of wine…it simply gets better with age.
Yup, its a moto jacket I cant live without and makes any outfit instantly cooler. Think about it!
Stuck in the cold, or where the sun shines, a leather jacket is worn on repeat all year long.
Dress up your athleisure! More often than not my every day look consists of something leather, a fitted tee, baseball cap, leggings and sneakers as usual.
Today’s photoshoot takes place in a sweet little old town called Kleinburg! Time fly’s when you’re having too much fun. Stephanie is such a great photographer to work with. Getting me to laugh, taking photos and being like, “yes girl, love it, you look gorgeous!” We had such a great time, to highlight this point further I am showcasing some of my favourite “me” outfits on the blog to date…
80’s inspired let’s go “Commando!”– made from a luxurious Italian blended fabric is my favourite Matte Metallic Legging, paired with a Love Me silk top. A coin flap pocket, cropped and a removable waist belt…look at me, I’m Sandra Dee, meets La Marque is where you will find Dylans leather biker, paired with a guitar crossbody and my “on the go” high heels.
“Danny Zuko, turned jock?!!!” Fast forward a vinyl boot with denim and cuffed jeans is a fresh take on your average black suede shoe and checkered blazer, paired with a classic bodysuit or turtle neck sweater.
This season I urge you to splurge on a leather jacket…you wont regret it!
Finding the perfect fitted jacket can be just as hard as finding a great fitted pair of jeans! Stores like: All Saints, Rudsak and Diesel are perfect for that one of a kind leather find! Having to do an outfit change somewhere between a white dress, sunglasses and a pair of heels is another “leather situation” and a quarter mile, coming to the blog sometime soon. Thank you for these photos Stephanie!
I know you’re out there, I can feel you now. I don’t know the future, I didn’t come here to tell you how this is going to end, I came here to tell you how it is going to begin. I am going to shut down down now and you are about to enter a place that is unexplainable, a place where you are able to determine your own path, a world without rules or exceptions – you can stay or shall you exit is a choice I leave up to you.
Similar to the beats pill, it’s not what you think. By the end of this blog post, there will be no answers, only more questions. However the question you may seek it is the most predictable but also the most irrelevant. Why am I here? Who are you? Is this real? We are born, only to get to a place never seen before. Or is it all an illusion? A figurative of our own imagination?
This can’t be real? What is real then? If not the real world? If the mind perceives it to be real, does it make it real?
If you’re talking about what you can feel, smell, taste and see then real is simply electrical signals interpret by your brain. That Deja vu is not evidence of a glitch but a distraction to the outside world. To stop you for a single moment in time and keep you from getting to where you need to be. Is a dream something that is real? Unable to wake up from? Only to remind us that there is no difference between me or my dream self.
And if it’s all an illusion why not achieve the impossible. Being able to cross mirrors and enter the unexpected? Or being in two places at once? What if we already are? Is our mind playing tricks on us? On what we can and cannot do? We see only what we want to see – do not try and bend the spoon, instead only try to realize there is no spoon, and then the impossible becomes possible.
Who says a place called Zion is more real than time in space? And who says Earth is more real than a made up computer program? Why do my eyes hurt? It is the ability to chose whether or not you want to live in Zion while you were a mere battery feeding off artificial intelligence.
It’s the question that drives us…what is the matrix? What is the good life? And if the Matrix is an alternate reality, is artificial intelligence possible? But what if you chose to be in the matrix? What if this is our fantasy? Is fantasy sometimes better than reality? Is it better to know the truth or is ignorance truly bliss?
You will never find the answers you are looking for…Until it becomes so clear, it will never be, you will forever be torn between the red or blue pill. But once you chose, was it the colour that chose for you? Do you believe in fate? Excepting the fact that we are not in control of our life but only put on a path we were destined to follow?
Where to go from here, is unclear. There is something you know but unsure what that is – it is like a splinter in your mind and has brought you right here on both sides of a black and white screen.
Do you want to know what it is? Or were you staring at the women in the red dress? Correction: Size petite, a little black dress from La Perla! It is everywhere, even now in this very room.
Is Vinyl an absolute must have and ready to wear? Press play and I will show you just how deep the rabbit hole goes.
As simple as 1 + 1 = 2, a formula for vinyl can be worn one of two ways: together or separate…paired with contrasting fabrics or solids, mixing in prints or texture, we love the combination of sexy, smooth and shiny paired with silk, velvet, linen or cashmere reborn.
As seen in the picture below I am currently wearing a high shine and high rise fit legging with a four way stretch and excellent recovery. Can be worn with one of three: a sexy bodysuit or a faux leather or shiny tube top, from double breasted silhouettes, deep pockets and a black vent the Erma Leather trench is as comfortable as it is sexy.
Long or sometimes short a vinyl trench by Aritzia’s Babaton makes for a very dramatic bold choice. Its glossy and incredibly sleek, with a belted button down, patched pockets and easy drop shoulders – from pointed toe ankle boots, over the knee, slickers and Oxford…which one will you try first? If there patent, that’s it! And a micro-mini skirt to match.
Super high tech yet retro, black, sleek and slightly intimidating these fabulous sunnies can also be extremely fun. Sponsored by Givenchy, cat-eye inspired, rectangular, round, square, black, white, silver or see-through…you can go for either incredibly small, too slightly bigger as seen on Trinity once or twice before.
All of these material items, this life that is worth living have been part of a world that has been pulled over your eyes to blind you from the truth. That we must wake up and enter a new way of reality.
See I know you, I know what you’re going to do next, you just can’t help yourself. is it your own desire to do as I say? or me simply knowing what it is you’re going to do next? Don’t you want to know the answer?
